 Ethics make us consider whether our choices are right or wrong. It achieves this by creating guidelines, principles, and ideals upon which we may base our actions. Truth, honesty, fairness, and equity are closely connected to ethics.  Ethics are strategic forces that influence communications.  While ethics is a social issue, it is crucial to the media and entertainment industry. When it comes to social media posts, it is essential to make ethical decisions. A common issue on social media is when people steal or plagiarize ideas. The ethical decision would be to admit to the public that it is not their idea, although some people make the unethical decision to continue to claim content that is not their own. What problems can arise within Social Media?

 Social media is an excellent platform for sharing, creating, and exchanging ideas and information in virtual communities. However, the spread of social media has opened doors to many issues. A few of those issues include privacy, misinformation, bullying, and oversharing. These issues occur when people who post on social media do not use an ethical perspective. An article called "The Story of Amanda Todd" demonstrates the outcome of a girl who experienced cyber bullying. In summary, 15-year-old Amanda Todd's pictures were leaked online by a stalker. This led to her getting bullied at school and online. That's when Amanda and her family decided to move schools. This gave Amanda a break and new friends but unfortunately, her stalker found her again and sent her pictures out to her new school.
